LES VOIX D'IVRY / VOICES OF IVRY.
Our electoral platform
By sharing this platform, we want to ensure you have the information needed to make an informed choice and feel confident that we will represent your values and work toward our shared goals.
PRIORITY #1
Prudent fiscal management
and low taxes
1.1 Manage municipal finances prudently, controlling taxes while maintaining quality services.
-
Our administration reduced the tax rate from 0.4750 to 0.4550 in the first year.
-
The tax rate remained the same at 0.4550 in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
-
To offset recent property assessments by the MRC, the Municipal Council reduced the tax rate to 0.3127 by applying the 2024 budget surplus to further lower the tax rate and reduced the 2025 operating budget to a level below the real dollar value of the previous 2024 budget.
-
Reduce the tax burden on small and medium-sized homes in Ivry and increase the tax pressure on larger homes. To this end, the Council recently adopted a resolution authorizing the creation of subcategories of tax rates, as allowed by recent provincial legislation.
1.2 Promote the development of an artistic and cultural commercial presence along the 117 corridor, generating tax revenues that will reduce the tax burden on Ivry residents.
1.3 Continue our highly successful efforts to obtain government grants for investment programs. To date, we have secured $3,414,157 in government grants during the first three years of our term.
1.4 Continue modernizing our municipal buildings through government grants. Following the construction of our new Town Hall at ZERO COST TO OUR TAXPAYERS, we will strive to do the same with the renovation of the municipal garage.
1.5 Continue offering a stable and values-driven team at the Town Hall that defines our Community.
PRIORITY #2
Preservation and protection
of our environment
2.1 Protect the health of our lakes by strengthening shoreline protection and pollution prevention as a priority.
2.2 Undertake a scientific study to evaluate the effects of wake-surfing on the shoreline and lakebed.
2.3 Implement the latest regulatory changes made by the federal Minister of Transport and Inland Trade as of August 2025, which give municipalities more power over waterways and recreational boating to manage issues such as erosion and shoreline safety.
2.4 Benefit from Sainte-Agathe’s experience regarding the municipal request to regulate wake-surfing on Lac des Sables.
2.6 Continue adapting and further improving our marine patrol to meet the specific needs of our community within their mandate to monitor and enforce compliance with our Boating Code.
2.7 Continue the municipal inspection program for all septic systems in the municipality.
2.8 Continue identifying and eliminating sources of pollution in the municipality (agricultural runoff, pool backwash, etc.).
2.9 Continue securing restricted boat access to the lake to minimize the threat of invasive species in our lakes.
2.10 Continue proactive measures to prevent forest fires and protect our community.
2.11 Continue ensuring that new developments respect the rural and natural character of Ivry-sur-le-Lac.
2.12 Continue our efforts to control the spread of Japanese knotweed.
2.13 Minimize light pollution.
PRIORITY #3
Encourage community involvement and
promote community development
3.1 Create and distribute a monthly report of topics discussed during Caucus meetings and a summary of proposed bylaws from Council meetings.
3.2 Continue making Council meetings accessible via teleconference and recordings to ensure maximum accessibility.
3.3 Continue collaborating with the AALM to facilitate community development activities and events.
3.4 Continue promoting the use of the Town Hall community center to organize community development events.
3.5 Continue our partnership with Conservation Manitou to further update our shared goals to Preserve and Protect our natural environment.
PRIORITY #4
Good governance through an engaged, diverse,
and experienced council
4.1 A team of five independent councilors to be re-elected to ensure continuity of effective, responsible, and experienced governance.
4.2 Approval of a sixth councilor appointment to strengthen the team and solidify representation for our non-riverside residents.
4.3 Review and simplify outdated municipal bylaws.
4.5 Review Ivry’s statutes to facilitate the permit application process.
4.6 Review outdated and unnecessarily burdensome regulations.

Our top priority is ensuring that every resident of Ivry has a say in shaping our future.
