LES VOIX D'IVRY / VOICES OF IVRY.
Continuity in confidence
We are committed to listening closely, acting thoughtfully, and ensuring the voices of all Ivry residents are reflected in every decision!

We have been busy strengthening our community's protections, implementing measures
such as:
• Increasing minimum new lot sizes to 18000m2, and increasing minimum frontage dimensions.
• Protecting our natural forest cover.
• Inspecting all septic systems and renewing non-conforming installations.
• Regulating the mooring of boats.
• Taking charge of the Nautical Patrol to make it more responsive to our community’s needs.
• Protecting trees and increasing natural setback provisions.
• Partnering with Conservation Manitou to secure conservation lands.
• Prohibiting short-term rentals of less than 31 days.
The Work Ahead
While we are proud of our progress, there is still work to do. During this next mandate,
we will focus on several key areas:
• Further reinforcing environmental protection measures.
• Conducting a scientific study to evaluate the effects of wake surfing on our lake and responding accordingly.
• Revising outdated and cumbersome municipal bylaws.
• Effecting a more equitable distribution of the municipal tax burden among our residents.
To achieve this last goal, your council recently passed a resolution establishing our right to create subcategories of single-family homes. This will allow us to assign varying tax rates in the future, providing our residents with greater protection from unjust and seemingly uninformed property evaluations.
A Team Effort
I am immensely proud of our record, but these achievements are not mine alone. They were made possible by a tremendously capable and dedicated municipal staff and a group of competent, committed, experienced, and extremely dedicated councillors.I will not take credit for the past four years of achievements without acknowledging my Council’s support. Our effectiveness and productivity were not achieved in spite of the current slate of councillors; they were achieved in concert with them. It is for this reason that I strongly support the re-election of five of the six councillors. They have consistently offered excellent counsel and deserve your continued support.
Thank you,
Andre

Together, we can continue
building for our community!
